There are many little known facts about the trumpet, below are six facts to spark your interest:
1. The trumpet may seem compact when compared to larger brass instruments, however it contains roughly 5-6 and a half feet of tubing. This is around the same height as your average human, yet the instrument can fit comfortably in your hands! (7)
2. The trumpet is an ancient instrument, and there are even artworks by ancient civilizations dating back to 300 B.C. which showcase the trumpet!
3. Modern trumpets are made of metals, however the earliest trumpets were made out of many different and crude materials, including conch shells and wood!
